NOMINATION SATELLITE AWARDS 2009

Finalmente entra davvero nel vivo l' Awards Season con i premi assegnati dalla giuria dei Satellite, formata dai giornalisti stranieri facenti parte dell'International Press Academy (IPA), associazione affine a quella che consegna ogni anno i Golden Globes. Tanto per dare un'idea sulla rilevanza che queste nomine possono avere per quanto riguarda la corsa agli Oscar basti ricordare che lo scorso anno nella sestina miglior film drammatico c'erano ben quattro pellicole presenti poi anche nella cinquina più ambita dell'anno ('Slumdog Millionaire', 'The Reader', 'Milk' e 'Frost/Nixon') e cospicue erano anche le analogie presenti nelle altre cinquine. Il maggior numero di nomination è per uno dei film più attesi e chiaccherati dell'anno: 'Nine' di Rob Marshall con ben 11 candidature.
Sorprendono le complete assenze di 'Avatar', 'Invictus' e 'Amabili Resti' che probabilmente non sono stati visionati dai giurati e non sono quindi stati presi in considerazione. La cerimonia di consegna avrà luogo il 20 Dicembre.

Proprio così: dopo la novità dell'allargamento della cinquina regina sino a renderla una decina, avremo 5 film d'animazione nominati anzichè i soliti 3.
E' stata infatti resa nota la lista dei partecipanti alla corsa per la suddetta categoria ed i nomi sono ben 20 (alcuni per la verità devono ancora uscire nei cinema ma, a meno di intoppi da parte dei distributori, lo faranno tutti entro il 31 Dicembre perlomeno a Los Angeles). Raggiunto e superato quindi il limite di 16 possibili candidati che secondo le rigide regole dell'Academy è il numero minimo per passare da una terzina alla cinquina classica che contraddistingue quasi tutte le altre categorie. Il super-favorito rimane sempre l'ultimo prodotto della Pixar ('Up'), ma dietro si prospetta una bella lotta per gli altri 4 posti.

Annunciate le nominations dei Premi Europei del Cinema, dove viste le differenze di date rispetto agli Oscar, ritroviamo molti dei protagonisti della stagione passata. A farla da padrone è comunque il "nuovo" 'Un Profeta' di Jacques Audiard, rappresentante francese ai prossimi Academy Awards, che riceve ben 6 candidature. Seguono con 5 nomine il superpremiato 'Slumdog Millionaire' e l'ultima fatica di Michael Haneke con 4. Altri ricordi di Award's Season 2009 con le 3 menzioni a 'The Reader' e le 2 per 'Lasciami Entrare' che la fece da padrone nella categoria film straniero soprattutto tra i critici statunitensi.
